SHIP AI SPECIAL EVENT · COMPLETE SESSION
Positioning and the Pitch: Why Anyone Picks You
About this session
Session four of Zero to Launch, the positioning night. Santos Hernandez works from customer evidence to the words that ship: the switching moment that is public, research the problem space, faster is vague, three layers three jobs, competitive intelligence with skills and a bot, a candidate is not a USP yet, the surface pack across hero, bio and pinned post, and the five-beat pitch with a real ask. The first half hour is the room asking about plans, usage limits and a fleet of Grok Bot agents.

Workuity co-hosts and sponsors Ship AI, a free, community-run AI education project for builders. This is session four of Zero to Launch, recorded at Workuity 24th & Camelback on September 16, 2026 with Santos Hernandez presenting.
The first half hour is the room asking questions: which plan buys what, how fifty named agents roll up to one chief of staff, the SRE bot that opened a pull request and hotfixed production at 7:37 while nobody was watching, and why the bot is the interface to Sentry, Vercel and HubSpot rather than a replacement for them.
Then the method. Act one, find the language: go where customers are, save their exact words, and read the switching moment when it is posted in public. Act two, find the edge: three layers with three jobs, competitive intelligence from curated skills or a bot, and the four tests a claim must pass before it ships. Agents expand, operators compress; design is still a human problem.
Act three makes the surface pack, one brief that becomes the hero, the bio and the pinned post, written in eighth-grade English. Act four says it out loud: sixty seconds, five beats, and an ask that is not 'let me know.' Along the way, the rewards-app funnel end to end, PostHog and A/B tests, and the explainer screen he removed that dropped conversion forty percent. He closes with the hackathon, Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, where you don't build, you launch.
