The Tool Drop is the AI Exchange session where the room checks in on what actually changed in AI this month, and this one lands in the middle of the busiest release fortnight in recent memory: Opus 5, Fable 5 in wide use, GPT-5.6 with its Sol, Terra, and Luna tiers, ChatGPT Work, Kimi 3 going open weights, and NotebookLM reborn as Gemini Notebook.
Dan opens with the room. A YouTube planning dashboard built in Claude Code, a commercial real estate broker wiring Claude into his CRM, a property-tech CTO prototyping in Claude Design and handing working builds to his engineers, a course series organized with Sonnet 5 as thought partner. Then he gets into the models themselves, including the strangest personality trait of the new generation: Opus 5 is the most powerful of the non-Fable models and it narrates every mistake it makes and fixes, whether you wanted to know or not.
The center of the session is one habit change. Stop asking AI questions. Give it a job, with a deliverable, a standard, and boundaries. Dan shows what that looks like in practice with the job that blew him away: three paragraphs handed to Fable 5, which then processed raw session video, uploaded it to YouTube in Workuity's brand design, and built the synchronized deck-and-video Resource Library page you may be reading right now.
